Developer salaries are on the rise.
And they’re not only increasing in importance.
That’s because mobile development is becoming increasingly lucrative.
Here’s the good news: While you can get paid anywhere, the average developer salary in the US is about $90,000 per year, according to a recent study from the consultancy firm eMarketer.
But it’s more than that in the UK, where it’s around $60,000.
The UK has one of the highest average developer salaries in the world.
And the UK is now the second-highest-paying market in the entire world, according eMarkets 2017 global report.
In fact, it’s still the second most-expensive market in Europe, with salaries of around $100,000 in the EU.
That translates to a yearly average developer income of $1.3 million.
That makes the UK one of only two countries that’s seen the same amount of mobile development salaries increase over the last two years.
And, it doesn’t stop there.
The UK also leads the world in mobile developer salary growth, with mobile developers in the country earning more than $1 million per year in 2017.
That’s up from around $500,000, and the UK’s average salary for a full-time developer has risen from $90-120,000 last year to $90.9-120 million this year.
And that’s just the start of things to come.
The median developer salary for 2016 was $75,000 and that’s expected to rise to $85,000 by 2021.
