A new survey shows software developer job seekers are looking for opportunities in different industries and professions.
The new survey by CareerBuilder shows that the median salary for software developer employees is $85,000, a 6% increase over last year, and a 15% increase from last year.
It also found that more than half of all software developer positions require a bachelor’s degree or higher.
Job seekers can now apply online, by phone or in person, to fill software developer openings in the following industries:The survey shows that software developer roles are increasingly popular among women, with 73% of respondents choosing to work in a tech-focused industry.
The survey also shows that a third of software developer candidates are seeking to work for companies that offer paid family leave.
This is the highest percentage among any job type surveyed.
